Learn what the Schoolixa welcome screen means before the initial school setup begins.
Purpose
After a new school administrator signs in for the first time, Schoolixa may display a welcome screen before the initial school setup begins.
This article explains that welcome step only.
Audience
Use this guide if you are the school owner or administrator creating the Schoolixa workspace, have verified the email address, have successfully signed in, and the initial school setup is not complete.
This workflow is not for staff, parents, students, or company administrators.
Before you start
- Create the Schoolixa administrator account.
- Verify the administrator email address.
- Sign in using the administrator account.
- Ensure the school's initial setup has not already been completed.
Open the welcome screen
After the first successful administrator sign-in, Schoolixa may open the welcome screen automatically.
The screen displays Welcome to Schoolixa. The administrator does not need to open a private route manually.
If Schoolixa opens setup or the dashboard instead, follow the guidance in the troubleshooting section.
Review the setup preparation
The welcome screen summarizes the preparation areas that come before the administrator begins setup.
- School information: basic school details and contact information needed for the workspace.
- Academic session: the active academic session used to keep records aligned with the school year.
- Classes and sections: the class and section structure used across daily school operations.
The welcome screen explains these areas; it does not save or configure them by itself.
Start school setup
- Review the three preparation areas.
- Select Start school setup.
- Wait for Schoolixa to open the initial setup area.
There is no Skip action on the welcome screen. Selecting the button continues into school setup.
This documentation article does not cover the setup fields themselves.
Expected result
Schoolixa opens the initial school-setup area, where the administrator can begin entering the required school information.
If the welcome screen does not appear
- Confirm that sign-in succeeded.
- A returning administrator may be taken directly to unfinished school setup.
- A fully configured account may open the dashboard.
- If Schoolixa returns to sign-in, sign in again.
- Contact support if the administrator cannot reach the appropriate setup area.
